Creating 21st Century Faith Formation that Engages All Ages and Generations
Faith formation today requires new models, approaches, and technologies that are specifically designed for a 21st century world and the diverse religious and spiritual needs of people and communities. This workshop presents a 21st century model of lifelong faith formation and a variety of strategies, resources, and technologies to bring the model to life in a congregation. An abundance of religious content and experiences are now available to every congregation-print, audio, video, and online-making it possible to provide faith formation for all ages and and all generations, 24/7, every day of the year. In order to make this vision a reality, the role of faith formation leaders is shifting from providing religious content and programming to curating religious content and experiences for all ages and making it available to people.

Unchaining Confirmation
Given all we know about adolescents, catechesis, and youth ministry, how might we enhance Confirmation's potential to be a more formative experience (without changing the age or length of your program.) This session will NOT focus on the practical, but will discuss the merits of six or eight enhancements that may be possible.

Garden of Grace: Spiritual Practices for Today's Families
The multiple demands on families today can make the pursuit of spiritual practices seem evasive and even futile. Nevertheless, the home holds great potential for being the rich soil from which a deeply rooted spirituality can bloom and blossom. In this session, we will explore five spiritual practices that are seeded in the family and practical ways to help families incorporate into everyday routines. The cultivation of gratitude, art of storytelling, celebration of ritual, extension of forgiveness, and attentiveness to time create a domestic spirituality abundant in grace and beauty.

Preparing Catechetical Leaders for Ministry in Pluri-Cultural Parishes
Most Catholics in the United States celebrate our faith in the context of parish life. The parish is like a second home, a place where we share one faith, one Lord, one baptism. But how to foster that same experience one Catholic parish becomes home to different cultures, languages, ethnicities, and religious experiences? How to catechize in the midst of these circumstances? According to a recent study in the year 2011, approximately 38% of all parishes in the United States are classified as multicultural. This percentage most likely will increase in the upcoming years. It falls upon catechetical and other pastoral leaders to fully understand the reality of these communities, identify the dynamics of sharing faith in a pluri-cultural parish, and propose a vision of unity in the midst of diversity. In this workshop we will lay the foundations for this important conversation.
